Bethlehem Shooting: Woman Struck By Gunfire On Cherokee St.

Police are investigating after a woman was shot in Bethlehem on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 28, authorities said in a release.

Authorities received multiple calls about gunfire on the 400 block of Cherokee Street around 3:15 p.m., the department said. 

The victim, believed to be in her 20s, had been taken to an area hospital in a personal car before police arrived, according to officials. She was shot at least once in the body and remains hospitalized with "serious injuries," police said.
